OUR STORY
We are a newly formed debt recovery agency and consultancy service, recently incorporated in the Croydon area, built on a legacy of life and supported by nearly 30 years’ experience within the debt collection and debt consultancy field.
FJK Collections & Consultancy Ltd was incorporated by Managing Director Steve Deegan, and named in honour of his late father Francis Deegan (Franie) and his late brothers Jason and Kevin Deegan. The “C” surrounding FJK represents Steve’s mother, who remains very much with us and in excellent health at the age of 77.
Steve began his career in debt collection in 1998, working in the industry until 2005 before incorporating his own Debt Recovery Agency (DCA), which he successfully operated for 12 years from 2005 to 2017. He later amalgamated his business with another company for a period of time, subsequently working for several DCA’s until recently deciding it was time to take the wheel once again and return to what he enjoys most — receiving positive feedback from satisfied clients when successful results are achieved on their behalf.
NO COLLECTION – NO COMMISSION
Here at FJK, we operate on a “No Collection – No Commission” basis, and we do not ask our clients to sign contracts, commit to action against debtors, or speculate on any potential proceedings.
This means that if we are unable to recover the matter referred to us within the pre‑legal arena, no commission is charged. In such circumstances, our clients may simply close the matter with no fees incurred. However, once all pre‑legal avenues have been exhausted and the debtor is disputing the debt, being evasive, or failing to comply, we guide our clients through all possible alternatives to progress the matter into the legal arena — though there is no obligation for them to proceed.
If, following informative discussions, our client wishes to move forward with the next course of action which may involve speculative costs on their behalf, we provide expert guidance and complete honesty to help assess whether such cost speculation is economical for the case and whether we believe it is appropriate to proceed along that avenue.
OUR METHODICAL APPROACH
We have dedicated our expertise to the recovery of outstanding monies owed primarily to businesses, though we also assist individuals. Our methodical and proactive approach ensures that every client receives the professional and efficient service they deserve in order to recover monies owed to them.
At FJK, we place the importance of customer service on a par only with recovering our clients’ outstanding monies. As a small company, our clients benefit from direct communication without being passed from pillar to post simply to reach the right person. We are also contactable outside of office hours, and if unavailable for any reason, clients may leave a message or send an email and we will reply as soon as we possibly can.

From the Managing Director’s experience, it is clear that many agencies overlook one essential and obvious principle — putting the client first.
